Lately, in London, we have been blessed with lovely sunny weather So I can finally wear a nice dress and not wear a jacket, RESULT! When it comes to sunny days I like to give my outfit a bit of edge but still be comfortable in the heat. I wore this Outfit on a seriously warm day just chilling in the park.
This black loose fitted jersey printed dress is a Religion Clothing branded dress. I found this gem of a dress in a charity shop for £10! I was so happy when I found it as I know a Religion Clothing Dress can retail between £22.50-£105. It was in mint condition and I LOVE the fit. The dress is a dome in shape, it is narrower at the top and bottom and fans out in the middle. This gives the dress a lovely shape. The jersey material makes the dress seriously comfortable. The print detail on the front of the dress is a skeleton praying and ‘Religion’ is written ion the front and is beaded. I like the print as it makes the dress a lot more interesting to look at and the beading embellishment adds a nice shimmer.
These sandals I stumbled across when shopping for my holiday to Mykonos. I knew they were not right for that trip but knew I could wear them here in London in the summer. They are the ASOS FILLY Chunky Bow Flat Sandals and retail at £40. What I really like about them is the sequins on the chunky bow. If you want to make a statement you need these sandals in your life. They are super comfy too. These sandals are chunky, but I like the fact that they are loud and proud. The sun reflecting off all the sequins is lovely. If you want sandals that are a statement and conversation starter these are the pair for you.
To complete my outfit I wore this hat that I bought in Primark. This hat cost me £5 and I wear it all the time. It is made of thick felt material and on this particular day, kept the sun out of my eyes. Hats are definitely on trend and when I just do not want to make a massive effort with my hair a hat is perfect. When styling a hat, a bold lip colour always works really well
When it is a hot day, I stay away from heavy make-up. For my base, I wore MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation in C5. This foundation gives a really nice fresh and youthful dewy finish. To warm up my skin I used the Bourjois Bronzer Range Maxi Delight Bronzer, this gives my skin the right amount of glow. I went for a fierce wing and used my beloved Inglot Gel Liner in #77 with a smokey lower last line. I wanted a bold lip so I wore the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in Wine 107. This lipstick is not drying at all and has the nicest plum infused with red colour. It completed my make-up look. I used a mixture of high-end products and some seriously affordable products from the drugstore/pharmacy (Boots or Superdrug if you are from the UK).
